Day 228: It's Raining!

We woke up at 4 this morning to thunder and lightning ... and rain! Despite the earlier hour, it was glorious to lay in bed listening to the pouring rain. Officially, Abilene got got 3 1/2 inches last night, though our rain gauge measured 1.5. And it was 75 degrees out at noon today.

Praise God for the much-needed moisture, but we're still praying for more (even after last night, our yearly total is less than ten inches).
