Day 303: Over

What a sad time for the Rangers. After last night's loss, which should not have happened, they just never seemed to get it back together. I heard this song on the radio and it kind of sums up this World Series:

"We could have had it all
Rolling in the deep
You had my heart inside of your hand
And you played it to the beat."

And all of that gear that made touting the Rangers as the winners of the World Series? It's on it's way to World Vision who will distribute it to children who don't have clothes. Just wish it was the St. Louis shirts headed overseas.

And I'll leave you with a quote that someone posted on Facebook, which I think is nice. Though I'm not quite this invested in any sport.

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, [October 29], a [Saturday] of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped, and summer was gone."
